You can assign projects to resources from the central resources page. This is useful if you have upgraded from a previous version of the JFrog Platform and your resources are set as unassigned and you need to assign multiple unassigned resources to projects.

Note

When you assign a resource to a project, the project owns and manages the resource. When you share a resource with a project, the project does not own the resource.

To assign projects to repositories:

  1. Click Projects to open the projects options and then select Browse Projects.

In the Projects page, select the Unassigned tab and click Go to unassigned repositories. The Repositories page opens with an Unassigned filter applied.

If you use the new navigation, click Projects to open the projects options and then select Browse Projects and click Go to unassigned repositories. For more information on the new navigation, see JFrog Platform Navigation

  2. In Repositories, select one of the following: Local | Remote | Virtual | Distribution.

  3. For each resource, click in the Project column. In the projects drop-down list, click to select which project will assume ownership of that resource.
