JFrog Expands APAC Presence To Support Growing DevOps Adoption
At JFrog, we’ve seen DevOps and DevSecOps adoption growing robustly in Asia-Pacific (APAC), as the region’s large enterprises recognize the competitive advantage and importance of DevOps and digital transformation.
In fact, by 2025, up to 25% of Asia’s 500 largest companies will become software producers to digitally transform and maintain their A500 status, IDC predicts1. And by 2023, 60% of Asia’s largest 1,000 companies will shift security to earlier in the development process so that security engages with DevOps teams to review application architecture and release plans early on, according to IDC.
Specifically, the People’s Republic of China — one of the world’s largest economies — has experienced an increased adoption of hybrid DevOps and DevSecOps practices at scale, as large enterprises accelerate application releases. As a result, they’re relying on enterprise-grade DevOps solutions, such as the JFrog DevOps Platform, to empower digital transformation.
That’s why today we announced that JFrog will be investing to expand its presence in APAC, specifically in China — an effort that complements JFrog’s already strong presence and offices in India and Japan. The expansion will allow us to speed up our services and engagements with customers and local partners in the region as their demand for our end-to-end DevOps solution rises.
By growing our local business operations in China — spanning local sales, marketing, and support teams — JFrog will provide front-line support for the growing list of Chinese enterprises looking to automate their software distribution lifecycle.
JFrog currently boasts many of the leading enterprises in China among its customer roster — including some of the largest financial institutions and insurance companies, one of the world’s largest video game vendors, one of China’s largest smartphone manufacturers, and other leading brand names in technology, retail, internet, and telecommunications.
Specifically, more than 100 enterprises in China already use JFrog Artifactory, a universal repository manager and container registry solution, and JFrog Xray, a continuous security scanning solution for open-source vulnerabilities and license compliance, which are both part of the JFrog DevOps Platform.
The hybrid, universal JFrog Platform provides the tools and visibility required by modern software development organizations to fully embrace the power of DevOps. The platform is available as open-source, self-managed, and SaaS services (with free tier) on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
