The original goal of JFrog was to enable people to manage binaries as first level citizens rather than just something you dumped somewhere — a.k.a. “dirty bytes.” JFrog takes care of the garbage that accumulates in the DevOps pipeline.

It’s basic economics: if a thing is popular and in demand, the tools for making that thing will also be in demand. Code management startup JFrog Ltd. appointed industry veteran Jacob Shulman as chief financial officer, the company announced Friday. In his previous position, Mr. Shulman was chief financial officer at Nasdaq-listed Israel-based chipmaker Mellanox Technologies Ltd.
