Daniel Meppiel

Creator of APM, Software Global Black Belt, Microsoft

Daniel works at the intersection of AI, business strategy and enterprise software engineering. 14+ years building, selling, and scaling software: distributed systems at CERN, developer tools at GitHub, secure code at Sonar, founding an AI startup as CTO (Wegaw, ESA-backed), and now AI-native adoption at Microsoft as a Software Global Black Belt. He created APM at Microsoft — an open-source Agent Package Manager used by thousands of developers including several Fortune 500 companies to distribute SDLC standards to coding agents (github.com/microsoft/apm). Daniel also designed the PROSE specification framework and authored The Agentic SDLC Handbook: 225 pages on making AI-native development work at scale.
