The ServiceNow DevOps platform works with JFrog Artifactory build information to automate change request approvals.
While JFrog Artifactory accelerates the release pathway, DevOps teams are still being held back by unwieldy governance processes that inhibit final release and steal time from other development activities. Now, JFrog Artifactory is part of the governance process managed by ServiceNow, in a way that keeps developers in the tools they love best while automating change ticket creation and approvals.
ServiceNow DevOps and Artifactory
An integration that allows developers to to automatically register artifacts created during a pipeline execution using JFrog’s build information. Artifacts are automatically associated with the pipeline execution that created them to track artifact creation.
Artifactory stores exhaustive build information including specific artifact versions, modules, dependencies, system properties, environment variables, user information, timestamps and more. With this information, it is easy to faithfully reproduce a build at any time. This information can be published to a buildinfo.json file and accessed via the JFrog Platform UI as well as now searchable in the ServiceNow DevOps integration.
Artifactory is your Universal Solution
JFrog fully supports deploying more than 27+ package types to Artifactory, which serves as a universal artifact repository. Artifactory lets you host internal artifacts using local repositories so you can share your packages inside your organization. Artifactory allows your teams to track and publish metadata around builds, artifacts, and repositories and integrates this metadata with your existing ecosystem to support end-to-end binary management and traceability. This helps teams track the complexity of working with different software package management systems and provides consistency to your CI/CD workflow.
