When using Internet Explorer (IE) on Artifactory, some users may encounter a blank page when trying to access Artifactory’s home page.

CASE #1:
This issue may occur due to some hosts from your intranet DNS having been resolved incorrectly by Windows.

To resolve the problem, go to Internet Options, select the Security tab, choose Local intranet, and click on Sites. Then, enable the option to Automatically detect intranet network.

Now close the settings tabs and refresh the page.

CASE #2:
The blank page problem does not occur when Compatibility Mode is enabled.

Make sure that Artifactory's URL is not included in IE's Websites you've added to Compatibility View and the option to Display intranet sites in Compatibility View is unticked. You can access these settings by following the steps below or taking a look HERE:

  1. Open IE

  2. Click on the Tools menu and select Compatibility View settings

CASE #3:
Compatibility is forced on the browser by Group Policy
:
  1. Open the webpage in IE, press F12, or click  then click F12 developer tools.

  2. Click on Browser Mode and see if Compatibility View is ticked

  3. If your Browser Mode is in Compatibility View (and even though it was not enabled or disabled in Case #2 above), it may mean that your IT administrator has forced Compatibility View on you as part of a Group Policy (more information on Group Policies is available HERE). For further assistance, consult your IT administrator to see if the Artifactory URL can be excluded from IE's Compatibility View Settings.
