Red Hat Container Registries offer certified container images from Red Hat and third-party providers that enable and extend your Red Hat environments.
Currently, there are three different Red Hat registries:
1. registry.access.redhat.com
Accessed anonymously
Does not include subscription-based container images
Does not include 3rd party (non Red Hat) container images
2. registry.redhat.io
Requires Red Hat authentication
Includes subscription-based container images
Does not include 3rd party (non Red Hat) container images
3. registry.connect.redhat.com
Requires Red Hat authentication
Includes 3rd party (non Red Hat) container images
Does not include Red Hat container images
To mirror the above registries in Artifactory, simply create a new remote Docker repository and set the URL to one of the above options (including an opening https://).
While the first registry can be accessed anonymously and freely, registries 2 & 3 will require you to enter your Red Hat credentials in the remote repository settings. A more detailed documentation regarding these credentials can be found here.
After the remote repository has been configured, you can perform a Docker login to the new repo using your Artifactory credentials, followed by pulling the images offered by Red Hat .
