On this episode of DevOps Speakeasy we have a conversation with Alexander Belokrylov and Dmitry Chuyko.

Alexander Belokrylov @gigabel Alex has been working in the IT industry for more than 15 years and went from being an engineer to a manager. At Oracle, Alex had been leading Java Embedded product management and later one of the components of the Oracle Internet of Things Cloud Service. In 2017 together with like-minded fellows founded BellSoft company which released OpenJDK supported binary distribution for a variety of platforms: Liberica JDK.

Dmitry Chuyko @dchuyko is a Performance Architect at BellSoft, one of the most active corporate OpenJDK developers. He previously worked on the HotSpot JVM at Oracle. His experience with Java has shown that the most interesting problems in applications find their solution in the underlying platform. Dmitry mainly optimizes HotSpot for x86 and ARM, and also contributed to the development of JEP 386 to make the smallest JDK containers legal. Dmitry is an OpenJDK committer and conference speaker.
