Why my backup is as the size of the artifacts and not as the actual size of binaries?

Why my backup is as the size of the artifacts and not as the actual size of binaries?

Artifactory allows you to create and manage system backups. However, the backup content is stored in standard file system format in the target destination folder (according to the representation in the Tree Browser) and not using checksum-based storage. As a result, the backup will contain same-content files stored more than once in case there are multiple artifacts pointing to the same physical binaries on your filestore. Considering that, the actual size of backup will be as the size of “Artifacts size” in the Storage Summary table.

For those Artifactory instances with more than 1TB of files or those who desire to perform backups that will have a reduced size we suggest using alternative third-party backup solutions.
