How do I resolve the backup error: Failed to export … since it is non-accessible … Permission denied?
If you have a backup error that looks like "Failed to export … since it is non-accessible … Permission denied":
e.g.:
Failed to export '/cmbuilds/artifactory/prodbackups/artifactory/current/repositories/yum-ci-local/RHEL-6-x86_64/atlas-platform/atlas-platform-master-nightly-308/atlas-sampleapps-qaplugin-0.0.master_nightly-308.el6.x86_64.rpm' since it is non-accessible.: /cmbuilds/artifactory/prodbackups/artifactory/current/repositories/yum-ci-local/RHEL-6-x86_64/atlas-platform/atlas-platform-master-nightly-308/atlas-sampleapps-qaplugin-0.0.master_nightly-308.el6.x86_64.rpm (Permission denied)
You are getting these errors are due to a temporary access-block of the folder. This happens when a background backup-process is doing a historical snapshot of the folder.
In this case, please check the following:
– Do you have another backup system doing SNAPSHOT of the Artifactory backup?
– Did you change the backup cron or the folder location lately?
– Try to manually run the backup process to see if the issue reoccurs.
Note that if you are running a Snapshot of the Artifactory backup, you should set it on a different time than the time of the cron backup.
