    Note

All available JPDs are selected automatically to be added to your topology. You can remove the JPDs you do not wish to add by clearing their checkboxes.

  2. This window is divided into available Platform JPDs, Distribution Edge JPDs , and Smart Archive JPDs depending on the type and number of your JPDs. For each JPD you wish to add, enter the following information. Note that all fields are mandatory.

    • JPD Name

      • Provide a meaningful name. This will be your instance URL.

      • The naming convention must be as follows:

        • Unique

        • It must start with a letter and only lowercase characters or numbers.

        • 3 to 32 characters long

    • Provider

    • Region

    • Password

The password criteria must be as follows:

      • It must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.

      • 8 to 32 characters long

    • Validate Password

  3. After you enter all required information, the dialog will display an All Set indicator. When you are done adding JPDs, click Update.

  4. You will receive a pop-up notification that the JPDs are being added. Click Got it! to close the notification. The Topology page now shows an indicator at the top that the JPDs are being added and the environment is being updated. This process may take a few minutes. When the process completes, the new JPDs will appear in your Topology tab as Active.

    Note

The Topology page is available only to user roles such as Primary Admin, Admin, and Technical Member. All initial server credentials are set to the Primary Admin email, regardless of who configures the instance.

  5. Once the JPDs are ready, an email is sent to the Primary Admin with the JPD login credentials.

  6. If you have Access Federation as part of your system, you may choose to add the JPDs you just added to the Topology to Access Federation as well. For more information, see Access Federation.

  7. Any JPDs that you did not add will be listed as ready to be configured at the top of the tab.
