You can view the history of cleanup policies that ran and download reports on each specific policy run.
To view cleanup policy history:
At the top of the Artifactory screen, click the Administration tab.
In the navigation panel on the left-hand side of the screen, go to Artifactory Settings>Retention Policies. The Retention Policies screen is displayed.
If your version of Artifactory is configured for cold storage archiving, click the Cleanup tab. If your version of Artifactory is not configured for cold storage archiving, the Cleanup tab is selected by default.
Under the Cleanup tab, click Runs. A list of policy runs appears.
In this list, you can review a comprehensive history of the cleanup policies that have been executed including: start time, number and physical size of cleaned items, and run status. The list is sorted chronologically starting from the most recent run. For more information on the run statuses, see the table below.
To view a report on a specific policy run, go to the row of the policy and click at the right end of the row to download the report. A zip file is downloaded including one or more .csv files. If this is a report for a dry run, you can review what items will be deleted if a real run is performed. If this is a report for a real cleanup run, you can review a report of what was deleted.
Note
Reports are created and saved in a dedicated generic repository called jfrog-policy-reports-local. JFrog strongly recommends not deleting this repository in order to retain a history of policy executions and their results. If this repository is deleted, you will lose this history.
If no packages are deleted (for a real run) or detected (for a dry run) a report is not created.
The number of previous runs that are included in the history is defined with the
artifactory.policy.cleanup.nodes_cleaned.expiration.days
system property. See Cleanup Policies System Properties for more information.
