In corporate environments it is often required to go through a proxy server to access remote resources, such as a remote repository or a federated repository.

JFrog Platform supports several types of network proxy including NTLMv2 (if running on Linux you may use NTLMv2 only with CNTLM).

For more information of defining proxies and the various proxy settings, see Define Proxy Server.

JFrog Platform can use proxies for the following use cases.

  • Proxying official repositories like Maven Central and Docker Hub

  • Federated Repositories

  • Access Federation through Access YAML Configuration

  • Webhooks

  • Download DB updates and artifacts in Xray

  • Distribution to Edge

  • Smart Repository from Edge to Artifactory
