Healthcare has always been at the forefront of innovation and is currently undergoing a digital revolution. However, in some ways, healthcare services are lagging behind other industries in terms of digital transformation, and there is a huge potential for new and smarter ways to handle the health of human beings worldwide.
Sara is developing a smart medical device that will be used for surgeries, but there are many challenges that must be addressed before going to production. One of the most critical challenges is the reliability of such devices: the circumstances of a problem while surgery is in progress are catastrophic. Therefore, Sara requires some kind of system that will monitor the devices at all times to ensure they are working as expected, and, in the event of a fault, give an instant indication of what has happened to enable the issue to be fixed immediately.

JFrog Connect's IoT management platform has been designed and developed for exactly such cases. The JFrog Connect platform contains multiple tools that constantly monitor an entire fleet of IoT devices and send instant alerts on current errors and in some cases, even predict potential future errors. Using tools from the JFrog Connect platform, Sara (or the end-user of the product) can remotely connect to the problematic device and debug the issue in detail. She can then deploy a new software version across the whole fleet using JFrog Connect's over-the-air (OTA) Micro-Updates engine.
